I know I’ve been away for a hot minute, but the time away has been productive I swear. Since we’re coming up on summer way out here in the desert, I’ll have more time to hunker down and work on projects. Summers here are much like winters in the northern latitudes. The weather can be so harsh it is honestly dangerous to be outside for long periods of time, so you might as well get to sewing. Our spring was beautiful, and I soaked up as much of it as I could, but we’re hitting triple digits already.
I have a ton of more Breadcrumbs to write, the more time I spend looking at my own creative process, the more I learn.
Much of the time spent away has been spent *trying* to learn how to shoot and edit video. I can confidently say that I’m better than when I started, but it’s still not great. I’m not ready to give up on it just yet, however.
The reason I slowed down in the first place, is that I simply ran out of cash. I’m very fortunate that I get to keep the tips I make at work, but tips had been weak for a while, and my petty cash dried up for a while. Once it was replenished, I was so starved for projects to work on, I just charged ahead without thinking of documenting or sharing what I was working on. All I cared about was making things.
Things should go smoothly this summer, and I’m absolutely aching to share everything I’ve made and am continuing to work on.
