Announcement of the Decade(s)

I want to go ahead and share a project that I’ve been working on for a while, and plan to work on in the future.  When I’m sewing or researching for a new project I love to listen to music from the time I’m working in.  Music has always played an important part in my creative process and now I want to share a project that I have had so much fun working on.  So what is it?  One playlist representing each decade I like to sew from.  This has truly been a labor of love, and I plan on working on this project until the day I die.

Disclaimer:  I am not Pitchfork or Rolling Stone.  I am not trying to reinvent the way music is compiled.  I have tried to stay away from the more predictable selections, but I don’t think there are a whole lot of deep cuts on these playlists.  The 70’s playlist is especially nostalgic for me, as there is a lot of music that my dad loved on that one.

I love history so much, and I hope that if you’re anything like me, these playlists will be enjoyable for you.  These playlists have been surprisingly time-consuming, especially the older ones, and I want others to be able to enjoy the music from history without being intimidated by the time it takes to find it.

So there you go!  These playlists will be growing slowly over time, and I hope you enjoy!
