Finished! 50’s Inspired dress.

Let me start by saying this is not a historically accurate dress.  I wanted to take a breather from the heavy lifting of research for my Edwardian projects and just make something pretty that’s fun to wear.

1953 Dress

I made this dress quite a while ago, which is why I never thought to post it before now.  It’s a re-issue of a Butterick pattern from 1953.

I adore ads from the 50’s.  They’re so optimistic.  Every product is life-changing and full of promise.
