Ah! It feels good to be back! This sewing project was such a breeze after the ordeal of the 1929 dress. I needed a win. It was so easy, there’s really nothing to report as far as construction. Ah, but I am forgetting a little something. . .
Let me start by saying this is not a historically accurate dress. I wanted to take a breather from the heavy lifting of research for my Edwardian projects and just make something pretty that’s fun to wear.
I made this dress quite a while ago, which is why I never thought to post it before now. It’s a re-issue of a Butterick pattern from 1953.
I need to be invited to fancy parties, because where else could I possibly wear looks like these?
